RMFIU

RMFIU was established in the Road Maintenance Fund by Resolution No. (1) of 2005 of the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Road Maintenance Fund, in implementation of the agreements concluded between the Republic of Yemen and the International Development Agency (IDA) regarding the implementation of road maintenance works for internationally funded projects. In 2013, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Road Fund issued Resolution No. (1-W) regarding the continuation of the work of the Executive Unit for the implementation of internationally funded projects, as the Executive Unit is responsible for absorbing external funding for the rehabilitation and maintenance of roads in the Republic of Yemen.

About

The unit has a qualified and highly experienced staff in managing external grants for road rehabilitation and maintenance. Its main office is located in the capital, Sana’a, and it has an office in Aden and an office in Hadhramaut.

Vision

Rehabilitation and maintenance of the road network in the Republic of Yemen according to international standards and practices through community involvement and achieving sustainability of road maintenance projects.

Target

Absorbing external funding for road network rehabilitation and maintenance projects in the Republic of Yemen in accordance with international standards and practices.
